mapKITE invited to present at the Imaging and LiDAR Solutions Conference 2015

After the project PDR, a big event took place within the mapKITE timeline. The mapKITE concept was presented at the Imaging and LiDAR solutions conference 2015, a biannual conference organized by the Canadian company Teledyne Optech. The conference took place on June, 9th to 12th in Toronto, Canada, and project concept and main technological ideas were presented by GeoNumerics.

One of the main components of mapKITE, its terrestrial vehicle, carries a Teledyne Optech's system for mobile mapping, the Lynx M1. Consisting on two LiDAR systems and two visible-band cameras, the system is able to generate rich mapping-grade LiDAR and image data from a vehicle at cruising speeds, targeting at corridor mapping applicationsThe integration of this system on the terrestrial vehicle of mapKITE is performed by the German company TopScan GmbH.
